The American public is being led to have that belief just like when they were led to believe that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction . OPEC produces about 40% of the oil only . did you ask yourself who produces the other 60% ? it is Russia and America . did you ever hear about the oil of the North Sea ? Alaska ? Caspian Sea ?


and even China ?


why doesn't the US produce more oil from Iraq , the country they are occupying ? why doesn't the US itself produce more oil from it's own soil ? why don't they use thier reserves of oil to bring the prices down ?


why don't they ask Russia to produce more oil ? why is the US making so much pressure on the OPEC nations or is Mr Bush crossading again ?Oil price solution?
Grains are internationally traded as well b/c I'm not totally sure but I think the rest of the world has the internet too. It would be impossible to just cut off a country from participating in the futures market. But I agree with the basis of your q which is what are we goin to do to solve this prob? And people need to realize that supply and demand is the key which means driving less. I'm moving closer to my job.
