How high will oil prices get before B. Hussein Obama thinks we should drill?

Will 10$ a gallon gas change his mind? What about 15$ a gallon? Or will he just send us a check from the treasury courtesy of our grandkids just like your buddy Bush?How high will oil prices get before B. Hussein Obama thinks we should drill?
Drilling is not the answer.How high will oil prices get before B. Hussein Obama thinks we should drill?
The liberals don't care as long as it solves their environmental concerns. This is the same agenda Carter pushed and created the oil embargo of the seventies. They have said since then that only market driven solutions would work. If we have cheap gas we can drive bigger cars. The more gas costs, the more we are forced to comply with the liberal agenda. Look at the price of gas prior to the Pelosi hijacking of Congress and immediately afterwards... it didn't take 10 days for the price of gas to rise dramatically. .
Let's see if I've got this straight. After reading some of the comments on this subject, Carter was responsible for high gas prices in the 70s, but Bush-a TEXAS OIL-MAN-is not responsible for the current record prices.

Explains why someone like Bush could get elected to two terms. The clueless way outnumber the rest of us.
It's not just Obama. Have you seen Schwarzenegger's latest comments? Also, I see a distinct lack of comment from any of the oil companies backing this McCain gimmick. McCain has admitted its a psychological sleight of hand to make consumers ';feel better';. What the heck good is THAT?!
Jimmy Carter never grasped that he was to blame for the oil woes of the late 70s, just as his predecessors were to blame for the oil problems of the early mid seventies. So, no I don't think there is any amount that oil could cost before Barak would do something to correct the problem.
He won't change his stance like J. Sidney McCain (the toilet son of a murderer) does every time it suits him.

(John is slang for toilet (I gotta go to the John)

';Mc'; is Gaelic for ';son of';

';Cain'; is the biblical son of Adam and Eve that killed Abel

...see, I can play the name game, too.)
Nothing was stopping the republican president and the republican congress from giveing the green light to oil companies. Why didn't Bush do something.

But drilling for oil is not the answer.
well at hte end of '08 prices will get up to 9 dollars a gallon!

insanity i know!

stupid liberals.

oh and all you people who are saying why didnt bush do anytthing

its cuz of bill clinton he made a law..........bush cant override it.
he and democrats do wants us to drill but they want oil companies to drill on the 68 million acres of land the government has already leased to them
You havent been paying attention - It wont lower prices more then maybe 20cents/gallon.

McCain even said it wouldnt help.
How about Alternative Fuel?
Why does everyone think this drilling is the messiah of the U.S., it will have minimal impact
What do you drive, friend?

Drilling isn't the answer. We need alternatives.
There is no politician who has the balls to admit the obvious. The oil companies do not have America at its best interest.

Therefore, we need to consider the following.

=======

I believe the oil companies need to be nationalized and the profits go back to the people in the form of lower taxes.Same with our communications systems.

Where I live in China as a transplanted American, both are nationalized and a gallon of gas costs about a buck less, and my cell phone bill is obscenely little. About $15 a month and I use it extensively.

Plus, I pay zero sales tax, and tax on a home is very small to non existent, plus I have no income tax, despite that I make considerably more then the average person.

There is a lot of revenue to be made off of both which gives the people more disposable income. A win for the government, a win for the people, a win for our economy. It will just pizzzz off the fat cats, one that some love to support, yet they don't give a rats behind about their supporters.

We often hear that the oil companies have a vested interest to give alternative energy only lip service. What better way to take care of that problem then put energy in the hands of the people. We need a Manhatten type of program to help eliminate our dependance on foreign oil while putting on the fast track alternative energy sources. The oil companies will fight both till all we will have left is a drop in the bucket of what we really need, all while we, the tax payer, continues to give them welfare bucks.

What I fail to understand, people will fight tooth and nail to support the oil companies while continuing to pay high energy prices (at a profit that lines the pocket of the fat cat, who doesn't give one hoot about them.) and pay high taxes to boot. Kind of like, shooting themselves in the head just to prove they can. Makes no sense whatsoever.

I'm a capitalist, but when it comes to this, I must put my foot down and say, enough is enough.

Case in point, in Venezuela, who has nationalized oil, they pay 13 cents a gallon.
