Is investing in a US based refinery a pretty safe bet now considering oil prices?

was thinking about WNR but generally speaking. Is investing in a US based refinery a pretty safe bet now considering oil prices?
Refiners are not the best bet. Margins are tight meaning that the skyrocketing price of gasoline does not translate into an equally large increase in profit for refiners.

If you want oil exposure, consider companies engaged in on or offshore oil exploration. Is investing in a US based refinery a pretty safe bet now considering oil prices?
That's if you can afford it. Investing in such things are quite pricey. I do hope however, that you are not choosing this solely because oil prices are being hyped by the media. There is a difference between investor and speculator.
