Did Bush go to Iraq simply to raise the price of oil so that his Oil biz supporters could profit?

It is sure looking that way, have you heard that we currently buy 70.000 barrels a day for the strategic reserve? And after oil fell $14.00 since the new year Bush said we should double the amount to 140.000 a day and the day after that the Saudi's said they would cut production. So what happened? oil went up, everytime oil has tried to come down they have screamed the terrorist are coming or done something like put more in the reserve. Only a person in the oil business could like Bush.Did Bush go to Iraq simply to raise the price of oil so that his Oil biz supporters could profit?
And so his defence contractor buddies would make a windfall.

Plus, all his stocks went up.Did Bush go to Iraq simply to raise the price of oil so that his Oil biz supporters could profit?
OPEC sets the price on oil, not Bush, not big Oil Companies, OPEC. Its called supply and demand and right now, China is buying up every barrel they can, so the price is up.
OPEC determines the price of crude oil. Bush pleaded with the Saudi Govt to try and get OPEC to reduce the cost of crude oil.
Why did OPEC announce that they would reduce production to defend $80.00 a barrel oil?

You are obviously ignorant regarding who is actually making money in the oil business. The ones who benefit the most from higher oil prices besides the OPEC nations is the government since some taxes are based on a percentage of the pump price.
No, it is to ';control oil'; in the region, not to ';get it'; per se.

It's part of the plan to make America the new Master Race.
No, he is keeping liberals safe.
yup
You do realize that the reason gas cost so much is because of the taxes you pay on each gallon right, not the oil companies.
No. He went into Iraq on information that there were weapons there. The problem was by the time we got there they were moved. The argument that we went there so that the oil business would profit has been used by people to turn the uneducated public away from supporting Bush.

While I don't agee with everything he's done, I think we should finish things in Iraq and give our military all the tools they need to do it. I disagree with pulling out our troops.

The left will stop at nothing to keep good people out of the White House.
No
It was a reason. It was also planned to build an oil pipeline from Iraq.
It's much more likely that he went there to show that he really feels the region is safe. It would boost the position of anyone else who supports his war if he shows some ';progress.'; I don't see how his visiting the region could increase the cost of crude oil.
You really cant think that the leader of the free world would do something like that, get real
I think that was only part of it. I was told his family made most of their money on REBUILDING and guess what.. most of the money they spend on the infistructor are lost dollars and unfinished buildings. Isn't the Vice Pres. in charge of that too? HMMMMMM
Bush went to Iraq so that he could put more of your money in his pocket and that of his family
Ya think?
